About
BINKY is a three-piece nu disco outfit from Batroun, Lebanon. Formed around a shared obsession with groove, the trio, Matthew Biban, Adel Assal, and Marc Arida, build music that is warm, percussive, and designed to close the gap between the dance floor and the night sky.
Their sound draws from French Touch, 70s soul, and the kinetic energy of the Levantine coastal scene, layering analog synths, neck-deep basslines, and vocals that straddle modern funk and Arabic soul.
Their first ever EP, Body Talkin' (2022), set the tone for everything that followed: groove-forward songwriting, disco-funk pulse, and a live-band energy shaped by Batroun nights. From there, Loverhood (2023), the 2025 single ضحيّة, and the EP عَرَبِنْكي pushed that identity further, delivering club-ready grooves in Arabic to a region that rarely hears itself in this genre.
